1st TV-Anytime Implementers Workshop
Sunnyvale, CA January 28, 2002

On behalf of the TV-Anytime Forum, we are pleased to announce that the 1st TV-Anytime Implementers Workshop will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. January 28, 2002, at Philips Consumer Electronics in Sunnyvale, California. The workshop will be immediately followed by the 15th meeting of the TV-Anytime Forum taking place at the same venue from January 29 - February 1, 2002.

The TV-Anytime Implementers Workshop provides an opportunity for companies to showcase their products and services, which incorporate the TV-Anytime technology. Following successful demonstrations of TVAF member companies at both NAB and IBC, the objectives of this workshop are to review implementations of the TV-Anytime specifications in more detail, to gather experience in implementing, and to feed open issues and possible corrigenda items back to the respective working groups of the TV-Anytime Forum.

The workshop is targeting both partial implementations of the TV-Anytime specifications as well as end-to-end systems. Companies are encouraged to register for live demonstrations of their technology and/or paper presentations of the current status of their implementations.

The TV-Anytime Forum will provide demo stations including internet access, power supply (U.S. 120 V), and TV sets. Please let us know should you have additional requirements in order to run your demonstration. Please note that the deadline to register demonstrations and/or papers for this workshop is January 10, 2002.

The workshop will be a first step towards compliance testing and interoperability of TV-Anytime implementations. It will also be open to visitors from non-member companies as well as people from the press, providing an opportunity to see first hand what the TV-Anytime Forum is all about.

To sign up to participate in the workshop, fill out the registration form. For questions regarding the general organization of this workshop, please contact Jenefer Thompson (JThompson@inventures.com), for questions regarding the workshop program as well as technical questions, please contact Stephan Heimbecher (stephan.heimbecher@top5media.net).
