The WG Business Models works with the TV-Anytime Forum's technical working groups to determine which requirements to enable in each phase of the TV-Anytime specifications.  The Business Models working group's mission has been based on the premise that "no system can be properly developed without first imagining & documenting every conceivable present and future way that it could be used”.

This group develops key features and functionalities required to meet the vast range of business models across this industry.  The features and accompanying scenarios are passed to the relevant working groups to test and push forward the specifications series.

Models for key stakeholders such as consumers, content and service providers, advertisers & equipment manufacturers were considered. Most recently they have included personalisation, targeting, segmentation and networking alongside basic 'present day' PDR functionality.

Now that the call for new technologies has closed, the Business Models group is working with other working groups in the TV-Anytime Forum to ensure that the identified user case scenarios in the requirements documents can be met with the technologies identified. Until the end of active meetings in July 2005, the group will also be looking at ways in which the adoption of TV-Anytime can be promoted in the media industry.
