TV-Anytime Forum - 3rd Implementers Workshop
On behalf of the TV-Anytime Forum, we are pleased to announce that the 3rd TV-Anytime Implementers Workshop is scheduled January 27, 2003 at Novell in Provo, Utah (50 miles south of Salt Lake City). The workshop will be immediately followed by the 21st meeting of the TV-Anytime Forum taking place at the same venue from January 28-31, 2003 (see separate announcement). The TV-Anytime Implementers Workshop provides an opportunity for TVAF member companies to showcase their products, services and developments, which incorporate TV-Anytime technology. The objectives of this workshop are to review implementations of the TV-Anytime specifications in more detail, to share experiences, and to feed open issues and possible corrigenda items back to the respective working groups of the TV-Anytime Forum. The workshop is targeting all kinds of (partial) implementations of the TV-Anytime specifications, but is particularly addressing the assembly of an end-to-end system by bringing together implementers that comprise a TV-Anytime environment. TVAF member companies are encouraged to register for live demonstrations of their technology or paper/canned presentations of the current status of their implementations. The TV-Anytime Forum can provide demo stations including Internet access, power supply (120 V), and TV sets. Please let us know should you have additional requirements in order to run your demonstration. Please note that the deadline to register demonstrations/presentations for this workshop is January 17, 2003. The workshop will provide a step towards compliance testing and interoperability of TV-Anytime implementations. It will be open to visitors from non-member companies as well as members of the press. In contrast to the previous workshops of the TVAF, however, this event will not specifically target newcomers. Instead, a brief orientation session for first-time visitors to the TVAF is planned to be held at the Provo Marriott Hotel and Conference Center (101 West 100 North) on the evening of January 27, 2003. For questions regarding the general organization of this workshop, please contact Krista Burgess (kburgess@inventures.com), for questions regarding the workshop program as well as technical details please contact Stephan Heimbecher (stephan.heimbecher@premiere.de). WORKSHOP REGISTRATION: To confirm workshop attendance, fill out and fax the registration form. Workshop registration does not secure you a hotel room. Please complete one registration form for each individual attending from your company by January 17, 2003. In order for us to provide comfortable accommodations for everyone, it is crucial that everyone register in advance. WORKSHOP FEE: The fee for the workshop is US $45. This amount must be paid online at the TV-Anytime Forum's website (http://www.tv-anytime.org). Coffee/tea breaks and lunch are included as part of the workshop fee. HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS: Provo Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
WORKSHOP LOCATION: Novell
